Caring for our physical bodies is an act of stewardship that God calls us to. Our bodies are temples meant to be kept strong and energized to serve His purposes.
Physical health has a huge impact on our mental and spiritual well-being too. Things like nutrition, hydration, exercise, and rest help us feel more focused, resilient, and alert to tune into God’s voice and direction.
Some physical habits we’ll cover include:
- Incorporating movement into daily routines
- Preparing nutritious, balanced meals
- Staying hydrated and listening to body cues
- Getting outdoors
When our physical fitness improves, so does mental clarity. Brain fog can be reduced, energy levels rise, we become more emotionally stable. All of this positively impacts our ability to pray, discern God’s will, and shine His light.
So don’t underestimate the importance of caring for your body! Renewal must be holistic, and physical fitness is a critical piece as we grow stronger spiritually and emotionally.
